Shoot Bubbles: Bouncing Balls is a bubble-popping game. In a forest at night where fireflies float by, the player pops bubbles in an attempt to score high enough to rank in one of the top eight spots against other online players and eventually make it to the top spot.
The player's uses a non-traditional mushroom shooter, projectiles and a color-matched, dotted aiming line to target two or more matching bubbles and create clusters of three or more. To earn points, they must knock bubble balls from hanging rows that slide down the playfield into score zones made of hollow tree stumps.
Shoot Bubbles: Bouncing Balls allows the player to improve their score in several additional ways. If they create a cluster above connected unmatched attached bubbles, the balls fall in an avalanche maneuver that knocks all the bubbles into the zones. They earn fireball projectiles and bonus combination points for performing shooting streaks. They can track their combo multiplier level in the lower-right corner.
The game also has bomb, electricity and rainbow bubble boosters. With bombs, they can push the rows partially back up the screen while removing some non-matching bubbles. Electricity bubbles remove a horizontal line and create an avalanche of all bubbles below that line. The rainbow booster allows them to create a cluster of any matching color.
Lastly, the player can earn bonus points by shooting flying bugs that carry special items, such as a super blast or mass of super bugs that bring down more bubbles. They can also temporarily earn the maximum score with every hit. Of course, the game also offers free boosters, coins and other rewards, as long as the player views ads.
